Contract awarded  for developing a processor platform for Galilieosat and GPS receivers
A contract with the amount of 165000 Euro has been signed by Gaisler Research and the Swedish National Space Board. The aim of the development is a processor platform built on the Gaisler Reserach LEON3 processor and the Floating Point Unit (GRFPU), tailored for Galileo and GPS applications.
Gaisler Research AB is awarded a contract for developing a generic processor platform for Galileo and GPS receiver. A contract with the amount of 165' 000 Euro has been signed by Gaisler Research and the Swedish National Space Board. The aim of the development is a processor platform built on the Gaisler Research LEON3 processor and the Floating Point Unit (GRFPU), tailored for Galileo and GPS applications.

             -  This contract will enable us to develop a state of the art System on a Chip (SoC) platform suitable
               for Galileosat and GPS receivers. The development will further position Gaisler Research as the
               leading European supplier of high performance SoC solutions, says Per Danielsson the CEO of
               Gaisler Research AB.


The processor platform will take into account the requirements of commercial receivers with applications ranging from automotive to aerospace. The resulting SoC system will be easy to integrate with existing and future GPS and Galileosat front-ends and thus providing an ideal solution for companies developing and producing receivers.
