Gaisler Research AB is awarded a contract for support and maintenance of the LEON2 processor and for development of the fault tolerant LEON3 processor
A frame contract with the amount of 500000 Euro has been signed by Gaisler Research and the European Space Agency. The aim of the contract is to maintain and support the fault tolerant version of the LEON2 processor and to implement the fault tolerant functions for the successor LEON3.

The first commercial license for the LEON3 processor has been signed with a customer active within the consumer electronics segment
A license agreement has been signed by Gaisler Research and a non disclosed customer active within the consumer electronics segment. The customer is using the LEON3 as the processor core in a System on a Chip (SoC) design.

Contract awarded  for developing a processor platform for Galilieosat and GPS receivers
A contract with the amount of 165000 Euro has been signed by Gaisler Research and the Swedish National Space Board. The aim of the development is a processor platform built on the Gaisler Reserach LEON3 processor and the Floating Point Unit (GRFPU), tailored for Galileo and GPS applications.

GRMon released
Gaisler Research has released GRMON as an improvement and replacement for DSUMON. GRMON is a general debug monitor for the LEON processor. It comes with both a simulator backend(tsim) and a backend for the LEON debug support unit(DSU).

Graphical user interface for GRMON
A graphical user interface (GUI) has been released for the GRMON simulator and debug monitor. The GUI is based on the Eclipse Framework, and provided freely in full source code.

First public release of GRLIB IP library
The first public version of the GRLIB IP library has been released. The IP library contains many high quality IP cores, such as the LEON3 processor, PCI bridge with DMA and FIFO, and a PC133 SDRAM controller. The library implements a unique plug&play integration method which greatly reduces the complexity of design SOC devices. All IP cores in the library are provided in full source code under the GNU GPL license.
